About Me:
As a wealth management advisor based virtually, my work focuses on helping individuals and families who are preparing for or currently in retirement. The primary focus is developing tax-efficient income strategies and building financial plans that are practical, organized, and aligned with each client’s long-term goals. My planning approach is comprehensive, incorporating investment management, risk analysis, and income distribution strategies.
I hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designations, along with Series 7 and 66 securities registrations through LPL Financial. I am also licensed for insurance in multiple states and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Saint Cloud State University.
At home in Edina with my wife, our two children, and our labradoodle, Pepi, much of our free time is spent outdoors. We enjoy neighborhood walks, e-biking around the city, and skiing in Colorado each winter. When not working with clients, you’ll often find me cheering on my kids at their sports activities and enjoying Minnesota’s four seasons.
How to work together
Step 1:
Mutual Fit Conversation
Our first step is a simple Zoom call. No pressure. I want to understand you, your family, and the financial priorities that are driving your decisions. I will walk you through what it is like to work with me at IPG and what you can expect from the planning process. We use this time to see if the relationship makes sense for both sides. Schedule our first conversation here!
Step 2:
Your Story & Your Priorities
If we decide to move forward, our first official meeting focuses on you. What matters to you. How you define long term success. What you want life to look like in the years ahead. From there we map out the sequence of meetings needed to build your initial plan.
Step 3:
Organizing the Details
Next, we review the information you have shared to make sure everything is accurate and complete. We look at your current spending, where your money is working, and where it is sitting. This is usually where we uncover opportunities for better cash flow, savings, and tax efficiency. Any gaps or open questions get sorted out here so your plan is built on solid ground.
Step 4:
Plan Review & Recommendations
This is where everything comes together. I walk you through your financial plan, the key insights, and the recommendations that can move you closer to what you want. We also schedule the next steps so implementation is straightforward.
Step 5:
Implementation & Ongoing Support
We help you put the plan into action and answer every question you have along the way. After implementation, we move into ongoing reviews. Most clients prefer two to three scheduled check ins each year, along with open access by phone, email, or virtual meetings whenever something comes up.
Planning & Asset Management
Asset Management Fees
$0 - $500,000: 1.00%
$500,000 - $1,000,000: 0.90%
$1,000,000 - $3,000,000: 0.70%
$3,000,000 - $5,000,000: 0.50%
*When assets are managed, there is no separate planning fee.
Fees are tiered, not blended. As assets grow, the full balance moves to the lower tier.
Planning Only Fees
| Planning Fee: $3,500 per year |
Why planning only? Some clients start with planning before moving assets.
If assets are later moved under management, planning fees paid are credited dollar for dollar against management fees.
How Fees Work
Most clients work with us through an asset management relationship, where fees are based on the assets we manage on your behalf. Comprehensive financial planning is included as part of this relationship, so you receive ongoing guidance in addition to portfolio management.
This approach allows us to focus on helping you make clear decisions, coordinate the many pieces of your financial life, and stay on track as your goals and circumstances evolve.
What This Covers
Our work together is designed to bring structure and coordination to your financial life. This includes:
Clarifying what your money is for and the goals it is meant to support
Coordinating investments with tax planning and cash flow considerations
Helping you make thoughtful financial decisions with greater confidence and less stress
Adjusting your plan over time as your life, goals, and priorities change
Our goal is simple: keep your financial decisions aligned with what matters most.
